The next part of our trip was where we got to show off the Lake District to our English/Zambian travelling sidekicks - Anne, Helena and Julia. It was as beautiful as I remembered and we enjoyed the traditional boat ride on Lake Windermere and train trip down to Newby Bridge. As well as some scenic drives around the area we visited a few yummy cafes and also managed to sneak in some craft shops and a high ropes course!
