Mukwashi Trust School

Mukwashi Trust School is a school that I have had the privilege to visit a couple of times with Cameron's teacher - Laura Manni. As well as her full time job as a teacher at the American school she is the director of this amazing school which was opened in September 2006. The school was originally set up through Dutch and English donors and has been a success story in the Zambian Education System. Unlike most schools the class sizes are sensible and even more encouragingly the teachers are provided with ongoing professional development - which keeps them inspired and makes them feel valued.

Laura is an inspiration and it is through seeing a school like Mukwashi that you feel that it is possible - not easy - but with the right people possible. More information about this school can be found on the Bridges of Hope Website.
