Open Arms Working Bee and Picnic

A couple of weeks ago we had a great family morning visiting Open Arms. While I and a couple of the other reading Mums decorated the classrooms with old posters, calendars, number and letter charts – Ian, Jess and Cameron kicked a soccer ball around with the 16 children who live in the orphanage at the school.

After our decorating was complete we had a picnic lunch where we think the kids ate like they had never eaten before. Fresh chicken sandwiches, mini burgers, samosas, spring rolls, pizzas, fruit, little cakes – they probably all suffered tummy aches that night but it was great to see them so happy.
