Just in case you have not heard - Zambia won the Africa Cup of Nations. They were complete outsiders and the country went crazy. It was as close to Australia winning the America's cup that I can recall. Most people did not go to work on Monday and 4000 people turned out at the airport and show grounds to welcome the team home. Unlike at home - where the security would have been amazing - people spilled onto the tarmac at the airport - stopping planes landing and when the team eventually did arrive and make it to the show grounds the official celebrations were abandoned because it was just to dangerous.
The atmosphere was electric and it was all anyone could talk about last week. It was fun to be a part of it.
