Goodbye Zambia

What a whirlwind. Never have I been so happy as to have the chance to fly back to Zambia and be able to have some closure on an extra special time in my life. Our four weeks was spent having some quality time with close friends, handing over my class gently to my replacement Lauren, organising and hosting (with great support from close friends) early birthday and farewell parties for Jessica and Cameron, crossfitting with our fellow and very supportive Amakans, sharing my hardworking husband with his office, wig shopping with Jill and Anne in preparation for chemo and of course packing and spending time with Bertha, John, Smudge and Komo who have helped look after us and become a part of our family during our four years in Zambia.

We will miss Zambia and are sad to leave it in such a hurry. Please know that we look forward to welcoming each of the special friends we have made here to our new home in Australia.

Moving day! (lots of tears)

Saying goodbye to Bertha and John. We will miss them so much.
